Mass Appeal, the global entertainment company rooted in Hip-Hop culture, and Whatnot, the largest live shopping platform in North America, the UK, and Europe, today announced a partnership for New York Comic Con 2026, taking place October 8–11 at the Javits Center in New York City.
Throughout the four-day convention, Mass Appeal will position its NYCC presence as the Home of Hip-Hop Collectibles, bringing together music, art, comics, fashion, sports and collectible culture under one roof for a truly immersive and interactive experience like no other. You can visit the Mass Appeal Comic Con Experience by visiting their LivePlex at Booth #1000.

At the center of the experience will be the Whatnot Liveplex – a 5,000 square foot shopping mall-inspired activation – featuring Mass Appeal and Whatnot programming where fans in attendance and audiences watching around the world will be able to participate in a continuous slate of live shopping events, exclusive product drops, auctions, artist appearances and cultural programming.
“Last year at Comic Con was a special moment for us,” said Nas. “The response to the Legend Has It panel showed how much love there is for Hip-Hop, art and storytelling in that community. We’re excited to be back this year with Whatnot and share some of the new projects we’ve been creating with Marvel.”
The weekend will feature a highly curated collection of limited-edition products and collaborations spanning the worlds of Hip-Hop and popular culture, including:
- Heavy Is The Crown: A special edition of the Marvel comic collaboration from Anderson .Paak and Cordae, sharing its title with the artists’ forthcoming album, which will be released on 10.23.26. There is also a Whatnot-exclusive variant cover with artwork by celebrated Japanese comic artist Peach Momoko.
- Incredible Hulk #1: A new edition of the landmark 1962 comic that introduced the Hulk to the world. Its exclusive cover recreates the original issue’s iconic artwork, with Hip-Hop legends Busta Rhymes and J Dilla stepping into the roles of Bruce Banner and the Hulk.
- Marvel Hip-Hop Covers Anniversary Set: A 10-comic collection celebrating the 10th anniversary of Marvel’s popular Hip-Hop variant-cover series, which reimagined classic album artwork using Marvel superheroes. Curated by hip-hop journalist Rob Markman, the set brings back 10 fan-favorite covers with premium metallic-foil finishes and will be available exclusively through Mass Appeal live shopping streams.

Adding to the weekend’s celebration of landmark Hip-Hop moments, Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Fugees’ landmark album The Score with an exclusive, limited-edition superhero-inspired art print created for New York Comic Con. Hill and Jean will appear at the Mass Appeal x Whatnot experience to sign copies of the collectible for fans. The moment will also celebrate another defining release from 1996, Nas’ “If I Ruled the World (Imagine That),” featuring Ms. Lauryn Hill, with a limited-edition 30th anniversary T-shirt and hoodie honoring the iconic collaboration. Together, the releases revisit two enduring pieces of Hip-Hop history through art, apparel and collectible culture.
Select products will debut exclusively at New York Comic Con, giving collectors access to items created specifically around some of Hip-Hop’s most important artists, albums and cultural moments.
Whatnot will extend the experience beyond the convention floor through live shows hosted directly from the Mass Appeal booth. Artists, athletes, entertainers and other cultural figures including Nas, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, Busta Rhymes, Anderson .Paak, Cordae, Erick the Architect and others, will join throughout the weekend to sell and auction exclusive items, interact directly with fans and tell the stories behind the collectibles.

Beyond commerce, the space will operate as a live cultural destination throughout NYCC, featuring panel conversations, artist and creator discussions, celebrity DJ sets, surprise appearances and performances.
The partnership reflects Mass Appeal’s continued expansion at the intersection of music, storytelling, intellectual property and collectible culture. From vinyl and comic books to trading cards, apparel and artist collaborations, Mass Appeal is building a platform where Hip-Hop history and contemporary culture can increasingly live as physical objects that fans can discover, own and collect.
New York Comic Con provides a natural stage for that vision.
Hip-Hop has always been a collector culture. Records, mixtapes, sneakers, magazines, posters, trading cards, toys, streetwear and artwork have helped document generations of artists and movements. Mass Appeal and Whatnot are bringing that tradition into the live-commerce era, connecting artists directly with collectors while creating new cultural artifacts for the next generation.
The Mass Appeal x Whatnot experience will run throughout New York Comic Con from October 8–11, 2026, with live programming and exclusive drops streaming on Whatnot throughout the weekend for audiences around the world to join in from anywhere. Tune into:
