Chicago rap trio Hotstylz—the group behind the 2008 viral hit “Lookin’ Boy” featuring Yung Joc—announce their long-awaited return with the release of their new single and music video, “Steal Out Your Purse.” Available Thursday via their imprint, Doo Doo Records, the track marks the group’s first official release in a decade.
“Lookin’ Boy” was a pivotal viral moment during the late-2000s snap and blog era, amassing over 17 million views on Vevo. Its iconic cadence and hooks have been famously referenced and sampled across Hip-Hop royalty—from Eminem’s record-breaking “Rap God” to songs by Cardi B and GloRilla.
Reuniting MCs Raydio G and Krazee alongside producer Meatball, “Steal Out Your Purse” delivers the group’s signature blend of unfiltered storytelling and classic Chicago bounce. Produced by Big Tsu Media, the accompanying music video brings the track’s vivid narrative to life, following Raydio G and Krazee through real-world scenarios as they swipe cash from unsuspecting dates.

The track offers a raw, direct look at modern dating dynamics and real-life situations.
“You might be short, and she’s up, you know,” says Krazee.
Raydio G adds: “It’s just us expressing ourselves, and these are real topics. The stuff that we talk about in our songs, it’s real sh-t. It’s not traditional. It may seem a little unorthodox, but this is real life. There’s a lot of men who are stealing out of women’s purses when they aren’t looking, after they have sex with them or whatever. This kind of stuff goes on. We just feel like we want to put fun back in music.”
Visual fans will spot a direct nod to the iconic 2008 “Lookin’ Boy” music video, featuring the return of the fan-favorite 1980s powder-blue suits and the signature Bartholomew hairstyle.
Following their breakout success in 2008, Hotstylz released several projects, including A.D.D. (2009), Where Y’all Been At (2011), and We’re Back (2016), before stepping away from music to focus on raising their families. Now fully refreshed, the trio is back to make music on their own terms.
