Top 8 Singles May 27 – June 2 ft. Pusha T, J. Cole & DJ Premier & Blank Face x Tools Beastly

With our Top 8 Singles list, we present the top 8 singles based on our staff picks.

This week our staff has chosen another 8 from May 27 – June 2 . This week’s list is led by singles from Pusha T, J. Cole & DJ Premier & Blank Face & Tools Beastly.

Pusha T – The Story of Adidon

Push T responds to Drake’s ‘Duppy Freestyle‘ freestyle and it appears that the gloves are off. It has gotten really person in this beef. First of all the cover has Drake in blackface which appears to be calling him out. Before you ask why Pusha T put Drake in blackface, this is an actual photo of Drake.

J. Cole & DJ Premier – 1985 (1966 Remix)

J. Cole is that standard when some people speak about lyricists in this area of Hip Hop/Rap. It sounds like DJ Premier is a fan as well. This is what Premier had to say “I bought J. Cole’s KOD LP as soon as it dropped with no warning to the fans; which I too am a fan. ‘1985’ resonated with me immediately, so I asked Cole if I could get the Acapella and do an underground DJ version just for fun.
