Two of Hip-Hop’s most uncompromising forces — Ransom and Conductor Williams — join together for a new collaborative project, The Uncomfortable Truth, which will be released on November 20, 2025. The project’s first single, “Bomaye,” is now available on all digital streaming platforms.
Following the success of Ransom’s recent collaborative release with DJ Premier, The Reinvention, the acclaimed emcee now connects with Conductor Williams — one of the most innovative producers in modern hip-hop — for a project rooted in raw honesty, creative risk-taking, and sonic evolution.
“The title ‘Bomaye’ comes from the Lingala phrase that means ‘Kill Him” Ransom explains. “It’s what the crowd was chanting for Ali in Zaire. This track is about killing the competition, just like Ali did in Zaire. People thought he was older, slower, past his prime. But he still went out there and took down the giant. That’s the energy I’m on—proving that skill, strategy, and heart will always beat hype.”
Conductor Williams shared his insight into the creation of “Bomaye”:
“I made the beat for ‘Bomaye’ and texted it over to Ransom, telling him to just trust me,” Conductor recalls. “He listened and replied, ‘Yeah, don’t worry — I know exactly what to do with this.’ In that moment, I knew we had something. I really wanted to take a different route with Ran — tried my best to give him records that had movement and sequence changes. We mixed this song 10 different times until we got it right. “Bomaye” is a beast of a song. It’s gonna be cool to see him perform it.”
