Beat-Smith Kidd Called Quest has unleashed the most “Ferocious” thing to come from Rochester since the Mountain Lion invaded the hood. New single “Ferocious” is just that, a drum-driven, moody sample type of boom-bap heater topped with acidic spit from professional mic bruisers RJ Payne (Philadelphia) and Pretty Bulli (Buffalo, NY).
With a video to materialize shortly as well, “Ferocious” caps off a year of equally high-quality singles from Kidd Called Quest. These include “Night Lights” featuring his Rochester, New York neighbor Mooch (Da Cloth) as well as several tracks with St. Paul Minnesota emcee Ken-C and some new joints with his Young Black And Gifted partner Azariah.
