The Germantown Arts District To Host Annual GAD Festival 9/13

The Germantown Arts District will host its annual GAD Festival on September 13, 2025. The interactive event aims to highlight culture, arts, and creativity within the greater area of Germantown, Philadelphia. From 11 am – 6 pm, the event will feature interactive creative zones, performances, and local street vendors, spanning Germantown Avenue from Coulter Street to Armat. Founder Kristen Clark’s goal is to make the festival a recognized hub for innovative arts education while bolstering the local creator economy and creating a fun and safe space for exploration of rich history.

Clark says, “This festival is about people embracing their inner creativity in the most low stakes, loving way. We all are born creators and we live fuller lives when we can access that part of ourselves. Being born and raised in Germantown, this event is special to me. I want the GAD FESTIVAL to remind people of who they are, and to provide a space for uninhibited fun and exploration – with community. I’m building a space that can cater to interests across artistry. We highlight what people do best and invite folks to experience that thing up close – that’s the interactive component. You come as you are, and leave having created something.”

Attendees can expective live dance performances, open mics, and music fromChill Moody, Suzanne Christine, Amir Ali, RIA, Aquil Dawud, and Jamicka Bass.
