Houston, Texas– Hometown hero and rapper Slim Thug hosted a Spooktacular community meet & greet and Halloween Party on October 28th. He had his meal, The Big Slim Meal, available at the Checkers Restaurant located at 17155 Eastex Freeway Service Rd., Houston, Texas. Over 150 guests showed up consisting of kids, families, and fans dressed in Halloween costumes. Attendees enjoyed music, by DJ J-Que, food, games, prizes, and taking pictures with Slim Thug. Proceeds from each meal sold benefited local nonprofit, CoolxDad which is an organization that promotes minority fathers raising their kids.
The partnership with CoolxDad is an effort to raise awareness for their annual holiday programming, “Color Box,” which includes a free holiday portrait session for families and a gift drive that delivers hand-wrapped toys, electronics, clothing, and other goodies to kids in Houston.
“Partnering with CoolxDad is inspiring and encouraging because they are doing positive things in the community for fathers. I’m a father and I’m proud of this organization,” says Slim Thug.
