After sporadic collaborations on projects like Fireside Chats 2, NY-based lyricist Rapswell and Chicago producer Jason Griff have finally come together for a five-song EP full of high-energy, rebellious tracks aimed at both having fun and screaming “fuck the system” at the same time. “Drop the Addy” is the second single for the EP and it’s a short burst of concentrated frustration and adrenaline directed towards the current state of America as Rapswell proclaims: “Fuck Elon and Donald son, it’s no time for subliminals, we don’t need a king, they gotta go- it’s that simple.”
Griff’s production combines a fluttering flute loop with bouncy drums and thunderous bass, creating a soundscape for Rapswell to proclaim “Fuck the felon plus the punk, he’s just another giant cuck, I’m at the drive-in setting fire to some Cybertrucks.”
