Blak-Ram has dropped a controversial track by calling out the United Arab Emirates’ role in Sudan’s devastating war by way of illegal gold smuggling and arms trafficking to the Rapid Support Forces, a violent militia that has been accused of committing genocide by the ICC.
The hook is catchy, but the theme is serious; it’s a mellow summer soundtrack that has been repurposed to shine a light on what’s going on in Blak-Ram’s country, through slick flows, storytelling lyricism, and clever wordplay and the bass really pops through the speakers.
Blak-Ram continues to use music to bring awareness to what’s going on in his country Sudan, but this time focusing on the big players exploiting the conflict for profit, whereas in his previous song “No More Tears (Sudan)” focused on the humanitarian impact and the direct perpetrators just briefly mentioning Abu Dhabi’s involvement without fully examining their role.
