New England Hip-Hop mainstay Oak Lonetree has been assaulting eardrums with impressive flows and barwork for more than two decades. A solo artist as well as one half of The Dunnas, latest release F.E.T.A. has Oak teaming up with frequent collaborator, producer Chairman Chow. The pair has released several joint projects since 2020, and F.E.T.A. is the full-length culmination of a series of similarly titled EP’s.
The acronym sums up its target audience: For Everyone That Appreciates.The lead single, “Ninth Round Draft Pick,” perfectly encapsulates the vibe brought by the duo. Chow’s off-kilter, woozy beat provides the bed for Oak’s subdued & self-assured delivery. The MC’s longevity in the game is on clear display as he seamlessly weaves his witty words with Chairman Chow’s groovy instrumental.
