Debuting at #9 on the iTunes Hip-Hop charts this week, 60 East’s My Hometown album is officially out now. Showcasing the album is the new single “Freeway,” produced by Eric G., who contributed to five tracks on the project. The beat hits hard with a soulful sample in the background, a signature of The Soul Council. With one of the standout beats on the entire album, it’s sure to make your head nod.
60 East released the album independently earlier this year via Bandcamp, offering fans a chance to “FAST PASS” the rollout process, giving them exclusive access to the album’s content, behind-the-scenes footage, and entry to the private release party. Since then, for streamers and those who chose to wait, he has been dropping singles and videos throughout the year leading up to the official release on 9/09 (the area code of his hometown).
