Dreddy Kruger drops off new single ‘Cooke Prime’ featuring Stoneface, Rasheed Chappell, William Cooper and California Purp.
Legendary Wu-Tang Clan affiliated producer and A&R, Dreddy Kruger, makes his return next month with “TD2: The Audio Film”, the official follow-up to his classic critically acclaimed and fan favorite “Wu-Tang Meets Indie Culture” LP. Kruger sets off his “TD2” campaign with the release of “Cooke Prime”, the war-dancing SEBB produced single featuring North Philly’s Stoneface, New Jersey’s Rasheed Chappell and William Cooper (Black Market Militia) along with North Carolina’s California Purp.
On “Cooke Prime” the four bar-spitters take turns swinging their box-cutters painting an aggressive picture of the war they have been engaging in Hip-Hop’s trenches. Dreddy Kruger spoke about “Cooke Prime” declaring, “This was one of the essential scenes for this audio film… it is as if you are looking through a surveillance camera on the corner, a safari ride through the concrete jungle”.Â
Kruger vowes that “TD2: The Audio Film” is the perfect follow-up release to “Wu-Tang Meets Indie Culture”, mostly because it adds an additional layer to the music you have grown accustomed to him releasing, a visual layer, which Dreddy Kruger calls “Cinematic Sound”. Kruger adds, “Though both albums have a heavy focus on lyricism and production, TD2 is a totally different monster down to the concept and sound, it was executed very differently, similar to how a film is made”.
Think Differently Music Group will be releasing “TD2” everywhere on February 7th. This audio film is executive produced, a&r’d, arranged and sequenced by Dreddy Kruger and features an impressive cast including Inspectah Deck (Wu-Tang Clan), Killah Priest (Sunz Of Man), Quentin Tarantino, Akhennation (IAM), Angela Yee, Eto, Jim Jarmusch, Eloheem Team and Rome Streetz.
