Devine Carama & Amadeus360 Release ‘MVP’ (Most Valuable Poet) Video

Devine Carama & Amadeus360 - MVP (Most Valuable Poet) Video

“The first thing that came to mind when I heard Devine spit was that he sounds just like Big L“, says Amadeus360. “This beat had to be grimy.” The Brooklyn producer interpolates scratches of L’s “Sandman 118” and a sample flip of Roy Ayers Ubiquity‘s “Everybody Loves The Sunshine” to backdrop Emmy-winning rapper Devine Carama‘s supreme lyrical abilities on their single “MVP (Most Valuable Poet)”. A standout from the duo’s latest collaborative album Guardians of the Boom Bap, “MVP” gets an official music video, unveiled today (9/16/2025) via YouTube. Directed by Shooter McGavin, the video was shot at notable landmarks representing the art scene of Devine’s hometown of Lexington, Kentucky.

Art is a lot of things. For some, it is entertainment. For some it is commerce. For me, art is a voice. Art is culture. The ‘MVP’ music video features two legendary art landmarks (Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center, and Lexington Art League) and Lexington’s newest place to play, Gatton Park On The Town Branch.”  – Devine Carama
