As Ras Kass continues to expand his legacy three decades into his career, one of the West Coast’s most uncompromising lyricists is giving fans an early taste of his forthcoming EP, Fallout, with “Summer Jam,” available immediately to fans who pre-order the project. A preview of the track appears in the official promotional trailer, unveiled (10/13/2026) via Instagram, offering listeners an early glimpse into the sound and spirit of the seven-track release, arriving October 27.
Following his latest full-length album, Leopard Eats Face, Fallout finds Ras Kass exploring a more playful, sonically accessible dimension of his artistry. Featuring guest appearances from G-Dep, Graf, X-Raided, and more, the EP balances the veteran lyricist’s unmistakable perspective with a renewed emphasis on musical chemistry, creative exploration, and records built to connect with listeners beyond the confines of traditional lyrical Hip-Hop.

While autumn is currently in full swing, temperatures remain above average in places, and “Summer Jam” serves as the perfect transition into the new season and the creative starting point for the new project. Inspired by a song Ras Kass first attempted to sample nearly two decades ago, the track sparked an unexpected creative process that ultimately grew into an EP. The resulting project takes its title from the transition between summer and fall, while exploring broader themes of cultural excess, societal decline, and the relationships and circumstances that inevitably change with time.
Fallout’s limited physical release and accompanying merchandise are designed by Gifted Glitch. Both physical and digital editions feature their own exclusive artwork, transforming the project into a distinct collectible for fans and supporters of Ras Kass’s enduring catalog.
Fans who pre-order the EP will also automatically receive entry for a chance to win an exclusive Ras Kass-signed Fallout Defsonix Boombox. The physical editions, collectibles, and additional merchandise are available through The Revindicated’s Ras Kass Gallery Collection here.
With Fallout, Ras Kass continues to embrace the independence and creative freedom that have sustained his career, bringing together collaborators, revisiting musical inspirations, and exploring a side of his artistry that leaves room for spontaneity and enjoyment. Thirty years after his landmark debut album, Soul On Ice, established him as one of Hip-Hop’s most formidable lyricists, Ras Kass remains committed to evolving on his own terms.
“Summer Jam” is available immediately with a digital pre-order of the Fallout EP here.
