Brooklyn heavyweight Skanks The Rap Martyr returns with a statement piece in the form of NEW WORD ORDER 2, the long-awaited sequel to his acclaimed NOW (New Word Order) project. Representing Crown Heights with the same passion and authenticity that has earned him respect throughout the underground, Skanks delivers a 19-track album that blends razor-sharp lyricism, social commentary, and street wisdom.
NEW WORD ORDER 2 brings together an impressive cast of emcees and collaborators, including Cash Bilz, Daddie Notch, Ruste Juxx, Mic Handz, Terror Van Poo, Mommy Bars, G-Stats, Chez Rocka, Kamaria Sarai, and many others. The result is a diverse and energetic project that celebrates the spirit of independent hip-hop while giving listeners a wide range of voices and perspectives.
Behind the boards, the album boasts a production lineup that few independent releases can match. Legendary producer Easy Mo Bee joins forces with Amadeus 360, Kev Beats, Greezi Amiin, Roclord, BK Dudda, The Loop Snatchers, Leks Sire, and more to provide hard-hitting soundscapes that perfectly complement Skanks’ commanding presence on the mic.
At a time when substance can be hard to find, NEW WORD ORDER 2 stands as a reminder that authentic hip-hop is alive and thriving. Whether tackling real-world issues or showcasing pure lyrical craftsmanship, Skanks The Rap Martyr proves once again why he’s one of Brooklyn’s most respected underground voices.
