After the buzz-worthy video/single “Green Stacks,” Canadian underground heavyweights Halfcut and Cole The God return with a powerful new single titled “Soul Ice”, a gritty and atmospheric track featuring lyrical assassins Daniel Son and Str8 Trip. The track is a bold offering from the North, blending raw street poetry with glacial production that cuts deep. The visuals shot by Da Kid T (USOM Films) were filmed in the Canadian Rockies and offer the perfect companion to the song’s frigid undertone.
The soundscape by Cole is soaked in ominous, boom-bap textures that mirror the unforgiving cold of the Canadian streets. Halfcut delivers his signature sharp, unfiltered bars, while Daniel Son—one of the most respected emcees in the underground—slides through with calculated aggression. Rising spitter Str8 Trip adds fuel to the fire with a hungry and unrelenting verse, making this a true cipher of verbal warfare. “Soul Ice” is out now on all DSPs and is taken from their upcoming project “The Relentless Two” dropping everywhere 8/5/25.
